Elko Overhead Replacement

Elko, BC · $12M · BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit

A 53-metre, three-span bridge replacing a 1950s-era structure on Highway 3. The work managed a 1.5-metre highway grade change, placed 3,163 tonnes of new asphalt, and added a left-turn lane, pedestrian underpass, and new underground culverts — all coordinated around active CP Rail operations.

4th Street Reconstruction

Cranbrook, BC · $2.4M · City of Cranbrook

Full-depth urban reconstruction from Kootenay Street to 17th Avenue: 350 metres each of new watermain and sanitary sewer, storm upgrades to 675 mm, two tie-ins to the 400 mm water trunk main, 21 residential service replacements, and 4,750 m² of rebuilt road and sidewalk.

Kootenay West Mine

Canal Flats, BC · CertainTeed Canada

Greenfield-to-turn-key mine site infrastructure: sedimentation ponds, clean-water cutoff ditches, pit road development and stripping, and a 14-kilometre upgrade of the Kootenay FSR for ore haulage — delivered through permitting delays, wildfires, and a 1-in-100-year debris-flow event.

Climate & Natural Hazard Resiliency

Cold Spring Creek Debris Flow

Fairmont Hot Springs, BC · $13.6M · Regional District of East Kootenay

A 10,500 m³ roller-compacted concrete debris-flow dam that contains up to 84,000 m³ of material and mitigates 300-to-1000-year events. The scope included cast-in-place intake and outlet structures, a temporary creek diversion, three relocated high-pressure watermains, and a 700-metre access road.

Climate & Natural Hazard Resiliency

Beaver Valley Ponding & Avalanche Berm

Glacier National Park, BC · $9.1M · Parks Canada

Over 217,000 m³ of material moved to build an avalanche berm and traffic ponding areas protecting the Trans-Canada corridor, with roughly 9,000 m² of reinforced slope systems — built inside an active slide path, with UXO survey required before the first bucket.

Environmental Services

Ruth Vermont Mine Stabilization

West of Parson, BC · $500K · Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals

Stabilization of one of BC’s highest-risk tailings facilities: 5 kilometres of forest service road restored, 2,700 m³ of spillway material excavated and replaced with riprap, and bio-oil-equipped excavators working beside fish-bearing water — all supplied by a single daily load from Cranbrook.
